Experience the simple life with a tour of Penn Dutch and a visit to the Sight and Sound Theatre in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
Day 1: We will begin the day with a morning departure and arrive at the Heritage Hotel located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the afternoon. Upon arrival, we will check into the hotel and then you will have time to freshen up before dinner. Tonight, dinner will be included at Miller's Smorgasbord. (D)
Day 2: This morning we will have a full American breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we meet our Step-On-Guide for a three hour tour of the breathtaking Amish Countryside.
Enjoy the views of farms and traditional Amish homes. We will stop at the Kitchen Kettle Village for lunch (on own) and to shop in the quaint Amish stores throughout the village. We will return to the hotel to freshen up before the show followed by dinner. The show will be at the Sight and Sound Theatre. We will see an amazing production. Watch the stage come alive as a cast of 45 actors, animals and characters tell this amazing story. This awe inspiring show will surely entertain you as you are transported back in time. You will love the original songs throughout the performance. After the show, we are off to Plain N' Fancy restaurant for authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Feast on Golden Fried Chicken and Roast Beef and enjoy sides such as Chow Chow and homemade breads. (B,D)
Day 3: Wake up and relax over a leisurely full American breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we will make a stop at Peddler's Village for shopping. The grounds of this village are beautifully manicured. You will have time for lunch
